Meet Janet, one of our most dedicated and loving pet caregivers! Janet lives in Denville with her wonderful husband, three lovable dogs, and five vibrant parrots. Her passion for animals runs deep—she's been rescuing and caring for them since she was 12 years old, and any animal that "followed her home" quickly became part of the family.

After an impressive 28-year career in healthcare, including 12 months on the COVID-19 frontline, Janet retired from her RN position and decided to follow her heart back to animals. She returned to dog walking, a job she did 30 years ago to help put herself through nursing school. During this time, she founded The Peaks Pet Nanny after struggling to find someone she trusted to watch her own dogs. Realizing she had a natural affinity for pet care and loved the company's mission, she decided to join the Peaks Pet Nanny team—combining her wealth of experience and her love for animals into one fulfilling role. Janet's commitment to animals extends beyond her own pets. She currently fosters for 11th Hour Rescue and raises puppies for the Morristown Seeing Eye. With over 50 years of experience caring for dogs, cats, and parrots, Janet knows how to handle pets with special needs, including administering medications like insulin.
