Karen recently moved to Hopatcong and enjoys sitting on her deck on the lake with her fur baby Augie and grand fur baby Luna. Although Karen was a full-time "Hockey" Mom and raised her two daughters, her love of dogs led her to join the Eleventh Hour Animal Rescue team in 2015. Here, Karen fostered dogs so that she could learn about their personalities and convey that information to prospective adopters and provide a loving environment until they were placed in their forever homes. She still receives many updates from her previous fosters and always looks forward to seeing them thrive in their new homes. In addition to volunteering to foster, Karen helps vet newly arrived dogs and volunteers at local events. Karen is looking forward to serving as a communicative, warm-hearted, and reliable caregiver to this community's furry friends.
