Marlene has had animals since childhood—dogs, cats, bunnies, birds, fish, and the occasional hamster. She graduated college with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting/Business Administration. She held many different roles in accounting and financial operations at Calvin Klein Cosmetics Company in NYC and later at Novartis Pharmaceuticals. Shortly after Novartis, her husband passed away following a battle with cancer. Afterward, Marlene spent her time raising their daughter.

As she was looking to regain entry into the workforce, she knew she wanted to do something different and something that provided joy and flexibility to her day. After seeing a job listing for Peaks Pet Nanny, she went to their website and immediately knew this was something she could feel proud to be a part of. Marlene currently resides in Rockaway with her daughter and their 3-year-old hound mix rescue named Aspen, who has made her a hound lover for life!
